Full-time HVAC Technician

Level 3 to perform preventive maintenance on various types and tonnages of HVAC equipment, complete maintenance surveys and related documentation, travel to customer sites for service, maintenance, startup, and troubleshooting, clean and maintain HVAC components including coils, drain pans, drain lines, and filters, conduct regular belt changes and bearing maintenance, keep company vehicles clean and properly organized, troubleshoot and repair: RTU systems, residential and commercial split systems, package systems, bard units, mini splits (up to 50 tons), VAV systems, hydronic systems and pumps, and cooling towers, perform advanced component replacement, including compressors, condensers, and motors, execute expert-level system evacuations, navigate and program VFDs, conduct both low voltage (24V) and high voltage (208-480V, single and three-phase) work, read and interpret electrical diagrams, perform comprehensive refrigeration cycle analysis, calculate subcooling and superheat without digital gauges, use PT charts for system analysis, train Level 1 and 2 Technicians, provide technical phone support to customers and other technicians, participate in on-call service rotation after training completion, attend team meetings and training seminars, maintain accurate daily timesheets, process work orders through BuildOps with detailed notes, manage company charge card (PEX) transactions and receipts, follow proper purchasing procedures, and document material usage and technical findings. High school diploma and 2 years of experience as HVAC technician or Installer; Mechanic required. Must be OSHA 10 and EPA Universal certified. Work background must have included installing and insulating ductwork, working with commercial clients, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, knowledge of HVAC systems and components, electrical and mechanical systems, reading and interpreting technical documentation, using digital multimeters and testing equipment, troubleshooting different types of HVAC systems (split, VRD, water cooled), ability to read mechanical blueprints for equipment installation, and installing City Multi VRF systems. Travel to customer sites and offices approximately 5 times a year within 100 miles of primary worksite required.
